Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull The newest Indiana Jones adventure begins in the desert Southwest in 1957 - the height of the Cold War. Indy and his sidekick Mac have barely escaped a close scrape with nefarious Soviet agents on a remote airfield. Now, Professor Jones has returned home to Marshall College - only to find things have gone from bad to worse. His close friend and dean of the college explains that Indy's recent activities have made him the object of suspicion, and that the government has put pressure on the university to fire him. On his way out of town, Indiana meets rebellious young Mutt, who carries both a grudge and a proposition for the adventurous archaeologist: If he'll help Mutt on a mission with deeply personal stakes, Indy could very well make one of the most spectacular archaeological finds in history - the Crystal Skull of Akator, a legendary object of fascination, superstition and fear.
The Edge of love A beautifully drawn love story, the film revolves around two feisty, free-spirited women, Caitlin Thomas and Vera Killick, Vera's husband William Killick, and the brilliant, charismatic poet Dylan Thomas who loves both women. Broken promises, passion, betrayal, the shadow of war and the constant threat of imminent death push the protagonists to 'The Edge of Love'. By no means a biopic in the traditional vein, the story explores the collision of the bohemian underworld of war-torn London, and the intimate complexities of two young couples whose lives and loves become dangerously intertwined.
Private Property Pascale lives with her twins Thierry and François in the house she got from her ex-husband. The family is co-dependent, both intimate and aggressive. The brothers are adults, but they still have violent fights. Pascale tries to revamp her life introducing her boyfriend to her sons, and they dont hide their disdain. She assesses that her only chance to break free is to sell the house and kick them out. But this triggers all out war among the three, each fighting to get his way.
The Waiting Room (II) Explores the tangled love lives of a group of Londoners. A single mum is drawn into a damaging affair with her neighbour while a care worker is under pressure from his girlfriend to start a family. Following a chance encounter at a train station, these two strangers find their lives start heading in unexpected directions... This character driven ensemble piece presents a fresh, edgy and totally romantic view of contemporary life and love in London.
Shotgun Stories Shotgun Stories tracks a feud that erupts between two sets of half brothers following the death of their father. Set against the cotton fields and back roads of Southeast Arkansas, these brothers discover the lengths to which each will go to protect their family.
Chemical Wedding In a secret laboratory at Cambridge University, ground-breaking experiments are afoot to fully integrate a computer program with the human brain using a state-of-the art 'interactive suit' linked to the biggest super-computer in the world - the Z93. One of the Cambridge boffins is an obsessive follower of the turn of the century occult leader, Aleister Crowley, and has reduced Crowley's occult rites to a series of equations and entered them in to the Z93. Bumbling academic, Professor Haddo is the willing volunteer, desperate to get inside the mind of the long-dead Crowley, in this ultimate ‘virtual-reality' computer game experience. When Dr. Neuman fires up the suit the computer generates a staggering array of occult and chaos images, feeding them directly into Haddo's brain and transforming him from a shy and stuttering academic into the charismatic but sexually depraved Crowley who wreaks havoc with the students and faculty of today's Cambridge campus. Haddo's arrogance and depraved appetites mirror the nature of his dead leader to the point where he believes himself to be the reincarnation of Crowley. A wild fantasy, perhaps, but somehow as he plays out Crowley's rituals Dr. Neuman and his associates realise he has knowledge that only the real Crowley could have. Could this be Aleister Crowley reincarnated, and if so, how do they send him back to the hell from which he came?
Pan's Labyrinth Pan's Labyrinth unfolds through the eyes of Ofelia, a dreamy little girl who is uprooted to a rural military outpost commanded by her new stepfather. Powerless and lonely in a place of unfathomable cruelty, Ofelia lives out her own dark fable as she confronts monsters both otherworldly and human.
