Harwich Electric palace is one of the oldest purpose-built cinemas still operating in the UK - having been originally opened in 1911. Harwich Electric Palace still has many of its original facilities including a silent projection screen. Harwich Electric Palace re-opened in 1981 and is a Grade II listed building.
