Guido Contini is a fifty-year old film director drowning under the weight of pleasing the many women in his life whilst not really knowing what the movie he's currently making is about. With a cast, a crew, a mistress, a muse and a wife, not to mention the press who are following his every move, all asking questions of him that he's unable to answer, Guido retreats into the world of imagination, fantasy and memory in the hope he can work out his love life and his film - both of which are spiralling dangerously out of control.

Little Polar Bear
The friendship between Plume, a little bear and Filou, a young seal, is frowned upon by the adult polar bears because seals are one of their favourite mealtime dishes!
When Plume and Filou compromise natural law for the sake of friendship, Igor and his clan are furious. A crisis breaks out. Wise, old Gustave suggests that the two societies meet to resolve the problem. Plume finds a solution: the polar bears will no longer hunt the seals, but in exchange they have to catch fish for them. This idea is agreed on by everyone and saves the friendship between the little bear and the seal.
Peace is restored, until Plume gets caught on an iceberg which detaches from the bank... he must then embark on an incredible journey to find his friends and family.
Ashes and Diamonds
A winner at the British Academy Awards and at the Venice Film Festival in 1959. On the final day of World War One, two soldiers are given orders from the Resistance movement against the new communist regime to murder one their leading men, Szczuka. But Szczuka was a fellow soldier during the war, making the mission particularly difficult to carry out even despite the carnage they have been a part of for years when fighting in the war. When the trigger is finally pulled, the results are not anticipated...
