Batboy - Kenneth More Theatre, Ilford, March 2007 (Stage One Theatre Company)
What you see is what you get with Stage One. The only Essex-based theatre company that has the guts and style to attempt shows like Batboy - and with We Will Rock You coming up this month further testament to this theory
Batboy is a curious ditty. A boy found in cave by a group of kids has developed into a bat - turns out he was cast away as a baby and cared for by bats. Unfortunately, he never learned many of the finer techniques of human behaviour and eats up inflicting a rather fatal wound on of the explorers.
Jai Sepple plays the lead character and once again shows his true versatility mixing
rather strange behaviour with an excellent vocal performance (Batboy eventually learns even to sing).

who gave an outstanding vocal performance as Shelley.
