Rocky Balboa
Rocky comes out of retirement for one last time to treat his devoted fans to his latest 'comeback', Rocky Balboa. For those of you, like me, who thought Rocky would forever live on in DVD box sets and Sky Cinema re-runs, this was a welcome surprise.
Though not quite ever recapturing the brilliance of the original, which would never have been possible, Rocky is tempted after a virtual fight by ESPN pits the image of a young Rocky Balboa against the current World Champion, Mason 'The Line' Dixon. Rocky mulls the offer over, with the calcium we're told he has on his joints but, of course, it's a tempation he just can't refuse.
Perhaps the fact that Rocky was once more offered a 'no-hopers' chance by a world champion, echoing the original, it was an offer he just couldn't refuse. Does he win? We won't spoil a quite watchable film. The film features his original trainer, Tony and Rocky Jr.
