The Queen

The Queen is a drama that depicts the struggle between Prime Minister, Tony Blair and HRH Queen Elizabeth II (Helen Mirren) folowing the death of Diana Princess of wales in 1997. Helen Mirren takes the role of Her Majesty
brilliantly and shows us that behind the facade lies a person with feeling and turmoil.
The Queen shows us that the decision not to make a public display of emotion is borne out of a feeling that it is the right thing to and, the Prime Minister, played by Michael Sheen, shows a quirky side, refusing to side with the general public that denounces the Royal Family in the aftermath of Diana's death.
The Queen is an enjoyable, witty film that tries to show us that there is, indeed, two sides to every story. Draw your own conclusions.
